| CVE-2025-68256 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 8.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: rtl8723bs: fix out-of-bounds read in rtw_get_ie() parser The Information Element (IE) parser rtw_get_ie() trusted the length byte of each IE without validating that the IE body (len bytes after the 2-byte header) fits inside the remaining frame buffer. A malformed frame can advertise an IE length larger than the available data, causing the parser to increment its pointer beyond the buffer end. This results in out-of-bounds reads or, depending on the pattern, an infinite loop. Fix by validating that (offset + 2 + len) does not exceed the limit before accepting the IE or advancing to the next element. This prevents OOB reads and ensures the parser terminates safely on malformed frames. | ||||
| CVE-2025-68255 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 8.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: rtl8723bs: fix stack buffer overflow in OnAssocReq IE parsing The Supported Rates IE length from an incoming Association Request frame was used directly as the memcpy() length when copying into a fixed-size 16-byte stack buffer (supportRate). A malicious station can advertise an IE length larger than 16 bytes, causing a stack buffer overflow. Clamp ie_len to the buffer size before copying the Supported Rates IE, and correct the bounds check when merging Extended Supported Rates to prevent a second potential overflow. This prevents kernel stack corruption triggered by malformed association requests. | ||||
| CVE-2025-68254 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 7.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: rtl8723bs: fix out-of-bounds read in OnBeacon ESR IE parsing The Extended Supported Rates (ESR) IE handling in OnBeacon accessed *(p + 1 + ielen) and *(p + 2 + ielen) without verifying that these offsets lie within the received frame buffer. A malformed beacon with an ESR IE positioned at the end of the buffer could cause an out-of-bounds read, potentially triggering a kernel panic. Add a boundary check to ensure that the ESR IE body and the subsequent bytes are within the limits of the frame before attempting to access them. This prevents OOB reads caused by malformed beacon frames. | ||||
| CVE-2025-68250 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 8.2 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hung_task: fix warnings caused by unaligned lock pointers The blocker tracking mechanism assumes that lock pointers are at least 4-byte aligned to use their lower bits for type encoding. However, as reported by Eero Tamminen, some architectures like m68k only guarantee 2-byte alignment of 32-bit values. This breaks the assumption and causes two related WARN_ON_ONCE checks to trigger. To fix this, the runtime checks are adjusted to silently ignore any lock that is not 4-byte aligned, effectively disabling the feature in such cases and avoiding the related warnings. Thanks to Geert Uytterhoeven for bisecting! | ||||
| CVE-2025-68246 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: close accepted socket when per-IP limit rejects connection When the per-IP connection limit is exceeded in ksmbd_kthread_fn(), the code sets ret = -EAGAIN and continues the accept loop without closing the just-accepted socket. That leaks one socket per rejected attempt from a single IP and enables a trivial remote DoS. Release client_sk before continuing. This bug was found with ZeroPath. | ||||
| CVE-2025-68241 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: route: Prevent rt_bind_exception() from rebinding stale fnhe The sit driver's packet transmission path calls: sit_tunnel_xmit() -> update_or_create_fnhe(), which lead to fnhe_remove_oldest() being called to delete entries exceeding FNHE_RECLAIM_DEPTH+random. The race window is between fnhe_remove_oldest() selecting fnheX for deletion and the subsequent kfree_rcu(). During this time, the concurrent path's __mkroute_output() -> find_exception() can fetch the soon-to-be-deleted fnheX, and rt_bind_exception() then binds it with a new dst using a dst_hold(). When the original fnheX is freed via RCU, the dst reference remains permanently leaked. CPU 0 CPU 1 __mkroute_output() find_exception() [fnheX] update_or_create_fnhe() fnhe_remove_oldest() [fnheX] rt_bind_exception() [bind dst] RCU callback [fnheX freed, dst leak] This issue manifests as a device reference count leak and a warning in dmesg when unregistering the net device: unregister_netdevice: waiting for sitX to become free. Usage count = N Ido Schimmel provided the simple test validation method [1]. The fix clears 'oldest->fnhe_daddr' before calling fnhe_flush_routes(). Since rt_bind_exception() checks this field, setting it to zero prevents the stale fnhe from being reused and bound to a new dst just before it is freed. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/cmd_net: fix wrong argument types for skb_queue_splice() If timestamp retriving needs to be retried and the local list of SKB's already has entries, then it's spliced back into the socket queue. However, the arguments for the splice helper are transposed, causing exactly the wrong direction of splicing into the on-stack list. Fix that up. | ||||
| CVE-2025-68232 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: veth: more robust handing of race to avoid txq getting stuck Commit dc82a33297fc ("veth: apply qdisc backpressure on full ptr_ring to reduce TX drops") introduced a race condition that can lead to a permanently stalled TXQ. This was observed in production on ARM64 systems (Ampere Altra Max). The race occurs in veth_xmit(). The producer observes a full ptr_ring and stops the queue (netif_tx_stop_queue()). The subsequent conditional logic, intended to re-wake the queue if the consumer had just emptied it (if (__ptr_ring_empty(...)) netif_tx_wake_queue()), can fail. This leads to a "lost wakeup" where the TXQ remains stopped (QUEUE_STATE_DRV_XOFF) and traffic halts. This failure is caused by an incorrect use of the __ptr_ring_empty() API from the producer side. As noted in kernel comments, this check is not guaranteed to be correct if a consumer is operating on another CPU. The empty test is based on ptr_ring->consumer_head, making it reliable only for the consumer. Using this check from the producer side is fundamentally racy. This patch fixes the race by adopting the more robust logic from an earlier version V4 of the patchset, which always flushed the peer: (1) In veth_xmit(), the racy conditional wake-up logic and its memory barrier are removed. Instead, after stopping the queue, we unconditionally call __veth_xdp_flush(rq). This guarantees that the NAPI consumer is scheduled, making it solely responsible for re-waking the TXQ. This handles the race where veth_poll() consumes all packets and completes NAPI *before* veth_xmit() on the producer side has called netif_tx_stop_queue. The __veth_xdp_flush(rq) will observe rx_notify_masked is false and schedule NAPI. (2) On the consumer side, the logic for waking the peer TXQ is moved out of veth_xdp_rcv() and placed at the end of the veth_poll() function. This placement is part of fixing the race, as the netif_tx_queue_stopped() check must occur after rx_notify_masked is potentially set to false during NAPI completion. This handles the race where veth_poll() consumes all packets, but haven't finished (rx_notify_masked is still true). The producer veth_xmit() stops the TXQ and __veth_xdp_flush(rq) will observe rx_notify_masked is true, meaning not starting NAPI. Then veth_poll() change rx_notify_masked to false and stops NAPI. Before exiting veth_poll() will observe TXQ is stopped and wake it up. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme-multipath: fix lockdep WARN due to partition scan work Blktests test cases nvme/014, 057 and 058 fail occasionally due to a lockdep WARN. As reported in the Closes tag URL, the WARN indicates that a deadlock can happen due to the dependency among disk->open_mutex, kblockd workqueue completion and partition_scan_work completion. To avoid the lockdep WARN and the potential deadlock, cut the dependency by running the partition_scan_work not by kblockd workqueue but by nvme_wq. | ||||
| CVE-2025-68212 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: Fix uninitialized 'offp' in statmount_string() In statmount_string(), most flags assign an output offset pointer (offp) which is later updated with the string offset. However, the STATMOUNT_MNT_UIDMAP and STATMOUNT_MNT_GIDMAP cases directly set the struct fields instead of using offp. This leaves offp uninitialized, leading to a possible uninitialized dereference when *offp is updated. Fix it by assigning offp for UIDMAP and GIDMAP as well, keeping the code path consistent. | ||||
| CVE-2025-68208 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: account for current allocated stack depth in widen_imprecise_scalars() The usage pattern for widen_imprecise_scalars() looks as follows: prev_st = find_prev_entry(env, ...); queued_st = push_stack(...); widen_imprecise_scalars(env, prev_st, queued_st); Where prev_st is an ancestor of the queued_st in the explored states tree. This ancestor is not guaranteed to have same allocated stack depth as queued_st. E.g. in the following case: def main(): for i in 1..2: foo(i) // same callsite, differnt param def foo(i): if i == 1: use 128 bytes of stack iterator based loop Here, for a second 'foo' call prev_st->allocated_stack is 128, while queued_st->allocated_stack is much smaller. widen_imprecise_scalars() needs to take this into account and avoid accessing bpf_verifier_state->frame[*]->stack out of bounds. | ||||

| CVE-2025-68183 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ima: don't clear IMA_DIGSIG flag when setting or removing non-IMA xattr Currently when both IMA and EVM are in fix mode, the IMA signature will be reset to IMA hash if a program first stores IMA signature in security.ima and then writes/removes some other security xattr for the file. For example, on Fedora, after booting the kernel with "ima_appraise=fix evm=fix ima_policy=appraise_tcb" and installing rpm-plugin-ima, installing/reinstalling a package will not make good reference IMA signature generated. Instead IMA hash is generated, # getfattr -m - -d -e hex /usr/bin/bash # file: usr/bin/bash security.ima=0x0404... This happens because when setting security.selinux, the IMA_DIGSIG flag that had been set early was cleared. As a result, IMA hash is generated when the file is closed. Similarly, IMA signature can be cleared on file close after removing security xattr like security.evm or setting/removing ACL. Prevent replacing the IMA file signature with a file hash, by preventing the IMA_DIGSIG flag from being reset. Here's a minimal C reproducer which sets security.selinux as the last step which can also replaced by removing security.evm or setting ACL, #include <stdio.h> #include <sys/xattr.h> #include <fcntl.h> #include <unistd.h> #include <string.h> #include <stdlib.h> int main() { const char* file_path = "/usr/sbin/test_binary"; const char* hex_string = "030204d33204490066306402304"; int length = strlen(hex_string); char* ima_attr_value; int fd; fd = open(file_path, O_WRONLY|O_CREAT|O_EXCL, 0644); if (fd == -1) { perror("Error opening file"); return 1; } ima_attr_value = (char*)malloc(length / 2 ); for (int i = 0, j = 0; i < length; i += 2, j++) { sscanf(hex_string + i, "%2hhx", &ima_attr_value[j]); } if (fsetxattr(fd, "security.ima", ima_attr_value, length/2, 0) == -1) { perror("Error setting extended attribute"); close(fd); return 1; } const char* selinux_value= "system_u:object_r:bin_t:s0"; if (fsetxattr(fd, "security.selinux", selinux_value, strlen(selinux_value), 0) == -1) { perror("Error setting extended attribute"); close(fd); return 1; } close(fd); return 0; } | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: fix potential use after free in iwl_mld_remove_link() This code frees "link" by calling kfree_rcu(link, rcu_head) and then it dereferences "link" to get the "link->fw_id". Save the "link->fw_id" first to avoid a potential use after free. | ||||
