CVSS v3.1 |
| Trezor Safe 3, Safe 5, and Safe 7 firmware contains a confirmation-binding flaw in the Ethereum sign_tx / sign_tx_eip1559 flow. For contract interactions, the device confirms only the initial calldata chunk while the signature commits to the full streamed calldata. An attacker could present calldata to a victim then supply a different tail that changes the signed transaction. Fixed in 70c9b0c. |
| Netty is an asynchronous, event-driven network application framework. Prior to versions 4.1.136.Final and 4.2.16.Final, ab attacker can force WebSocket upgrade via the lax V07 (or V08) handshaker by sending `Sec-WebSocket-Version: 7` and omitting `Connection: Upgrade` / `Upgrade: websocket` headers, completing a protocol switch that a proxy would not recognize as an Upgrade request and enabling HTTP request smuggling / protocol-confusion attacks. This issue has been fixed in versions 4.1.136.Final and 4.2.16.Final. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
NFSv4: include MAY_WRITE in open permission mask for O_TRUNC
POSIX requires write permission to truncate a file, so an open() that
specifies O_TRUNC must be authorized for write access regardless of the
O_ACCMODE access mode.
nfs_open_permission_mask() builds the access mask passed to
nfs_may_open(), which is the local authorization gate for OPENs the
client serves itself from a cached write delegation via the
can_open_delegated() path in nfs4_try_open_cached(). The mask is
derived from O_ACCMODE alone, so an open(O_RDONLY | O_TRUNC) against a
file the caller cannot write requests only MAY_READ and passes the
local check. The OPEN is then satisfied locally and the truncation is
issued to the server as a SETATTR(size=0) over the delegation stateid,
which the server accepts under standard write-delegation semantics.
POSIX requires that this open fail with EACCES.
Include MAY_WRITE in the mask whenever O_TRUNC is set so the local
check matches the access the server would have enforced. |
| In NLnet Labs Unbound 1.6.0 up to and including 1.25.1, a replay of a wildcard rrset as another piece of data, could be briefly considered DNSSEC secure based only on the RRSIG validation and stored into cache, before later validation treats it as bogus based on NSEC validation. When the resolving thread puts secure on the rrset, and another thread that is on the serve expired path then picks up the updated rrset contents with the secure status for a reply, it can be used to change a specific record, next to a wildcard that could be covered by the wildcard, into the wildcard. A malicious actor can exploit the possible poisonous effect by having any DNSSEC-singed domain (irrelevant to the victim domain) and a CNAME wrapper record that points to a record next to a wildcard (that could be covered by the wildcard). Then quering Unbound for the wildcard sibling record would seed the secure message. A later (after expiry) query for the CNAME wrapper would need to resolve the target sibling record. If the wildcard replay is injected into the response, the wildcard rrset will update the expired sibling record with a secure status before completing proper wildcard validation with NSEC records and eventually treating the CNAME wrapper answer as bogus. The updated poisoned rrset is now secure and points to the wildcard. This vulnerability is explicit for the serve expired path and needs injection of the signed wildcard rrset without the NSEC accompanying rrset. |
| A logic issue was addressed with improved file handling. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.5. A maliciously crafted ZIP archive may bypass Gatekeeper checks. |
| Mitigation bypass in the DOM: Security component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 153 and Thunderbird 153. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: require source read access for duplicate extents
FSCTL_DUPLICATE_EXTENTS_TO_FILE passes the source file directly to
vfs_clone_file_range() or vfs_copy_file_range() without checking the SMB
access mask granted to the source handle. A handle opened with attribute
access can consequently be used to copy file contents into an
attacker-readable destination.
Require FILE_READ_DATA on the source handle before either VFS operation,
matching other ksmbd data-copy paths. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
srcu: Don't queue workqueue handlers to never-online CPUs
While an srcu_struct structure is in the midst of switching from CPU-0
to all-CPUs state, it can attempt to invoke callbacks for CPUs that
have never been online. Worse yet, it can attempt in invoke callbacks
for CPUs that never will be online, even including imaginary CPUs not in
cpu_possible_mask. This can cause hangs on s390, which is not set up to
deal with workqueue handlers being scheduled on such CPUs. This commit
therefore causes Tree SRCU to refrain from queueing workqueue handlers
on CPUs that have not yet (and might never) come online.
Because callbacks are not invoked on CPUs that have not been
online, it is an error to invoke call_srcu(), synchronize_srcu(), or
synchronize_srcu_expedited() on a CPU that is not yet fully online.
However, it turns out to be less code to redirect the callbacks
from too-early invocations of call_srcu() than to warn about such
invocations. This commit therefore also redirects callbacks queued on
not-yet-fully-online CPUs to the boot CPU. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
f2fs: validate compress cache inode only when enabled
F2FS_COMPRESS_INO() uses NM_I(sbi)->max_nid as the synthetic inode
number for the compressed page cache inode. That inode only exists when
the compress_cache mount option is enabled.
When compress_cache is disabled, max_nid is outside the valid inode
range. A corrupted directory entry that points to ino == max_nid should
therefore be rejected by f2fs_check_nid_range(). However, is_meta_ino()
currently treats F2FS_COMPRESS_INO() as a meta inode unconditionally,
so f2fs_iget() bypasses do_read_inode() and its nid range check, and
instantiates a fake internal inode instead.
Gate the compressed cache inode case on COMPRESS_CACHE, matching
f2fs_init_compress_inode(). With compress_cache disabled, ino ==
max_nid now follows the normal inode path and is rejected as an
out-of-range nid. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: conntrack: tcp: do not force CLOSE on invalid-seq RST without direction check
An unintended behavior in the TCP conntrack state machine allows a
connection to be forced into the CLOSE state using an RST packet with an
invalid sequence number.
Specifically, after a SYN packet is observed, an RST with an invalid SEQ
can transition the conntrack entry to TCP_CONNTRACK_CLOSE, regardless of
whether the RST corresponds to the expected reply direction. The relevant
code path assumes the RST is a response to an outgoing SYN, but does not
validate packet direction or ensure that a matching SYN was actually sent
in the opposite direction.
As a result, a crafted packet sequence consisting of a SYN followed by an
invalid-sequence RST can prematurely terminate an active NAT entry. This
makes connection teardown easier than intended.
So, tighten the state transition logic to ensure that RST-triggered
CLOSE transitions only occur when the RST is a valid response to a
previously observed SYN in the correct direction. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iommupt: Check for missing PAGE_SIZE in the pgsize_bitmap
Sashiko pointed out that the driver could drop PAGE_SIZE from the
pgsize_bitmap. That is technically allowed but nothing does it, and
such an iommu_domain would not be used with the DMA API today.
Still, it is against the design and it is trivial to fix up. Lift
the PT_WARN_ON to the if branch and just skip the fast path. |
| Puma is a Ruby/Rack web server built for parallelism. From 5.5.0 until 7.2.1 and 8.0.2, Puma is vulnerable to source IP spoofing when set_remote_address proxy_protocol: :v1 is enabled and persistent connections are used because Puma incorrectly re-parses PROXY protocol headers after each keep-alive request on the same connection, allowing an attacker to inject a second PROXY header and overwrite REMOTE_ADDR. This issue is fixed in versions 7.2.1 and 8.0.2. |
| Improperly implemented security check for standard in Windows Secure Boot allows an authorized attacker to bypass a security feature locally. |
| In sshd in OpenSSH before 10.4, DisableForwarding=yes was supposed to take precedence over PermitTunnel=yes, but did not. |
| When a user invokes curl using a schemeless URL combined with
`--proto-default` sftp (or scp), a disconnect occurs between the tool layer
and libcurl. The tool layer incorrectly infers the URL scheme, which
erroneously bypasses the initialization of critical SSH security options like
CURLOPT_SSH_HOST_PUBLIC_KEY_SHA256 and CURLOPT_SSH_KNOWNHOSTS. Conversely, the
libcurl runtime successfully honors CURLOPT_DEFAULT_PROTOCOL and establishes
the connection via SFTP/SCP as specified. Because the tool layer skipped the
security configuration, these SSH host verification options are silently
omitted, causing curl to connect to an unverified SSH remote host without
throwing an error. |
| In liboauth2 the Demonstrating Proof-of-Possession (DPoP) verifier accepts a proof whose JSON Web Key (jwk) header contains private key material. RFC 9449 section 4.3 step 7 requires the verifier to reject such a proof but oauth2_token_verify() function returns success for a malformed DPoP proof that embeds the private Elliptic Curve (EC) key in the header.
This issue was fixed in version 2.3.0 |
| DVP80ES3 with Improperly Implemented Security Check for Standard vulnerability. |
| Always-Incorrect Control Flow Implementation vulnerability in Apache Tomcat's rewrite valve meant that if the first condition in an OR chain matched, subsequent non-OR conditions were skipped.
This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.22, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.55, from 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.118, from 8.5.0 through 8.5.100. Other versions that have reached end of support may also be affected.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.23, 10.1.56 or 9.0.119, which fix the issue. |
| It is possible to bypass the Kerberos pre-authentication check in Apache Kerby by sending a PA-DATA with an unrecognized or unsupported type. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.1.2, which fixes this issue. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Switch CONFIG_CFI_CLANG to CONFIG_CFI
This was renamed in commit 23ef9d439769 ("kcfi: Rename CONFIG_CFI_CLANG
to CONFIG_CFI") as it is now a compiler-agnostic option. Using the wrong
name results in the code getting compiled out. Meaning the CFI failures
for btf_dtor_kfunc_t would still trigger. |
