| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: btusb: fix use-after-free on marvell probe failure
Make sure to stop any TX URBs submitted during Marvell OOB wakeup
configuration on later probe failures to avoid use-after-free in the
completion callback.
This issue was reported by Sashiko while reviewing a fix for a wakeup
source leak in the btusb probe errors paths. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: btusb: fix use-after-free on registration failure
Make sure to release the sibling interfaces in case controller
registration fails to avoid use-after-free and double-free when they are
eventually disconnected.
This issue was reported by Sashiko while reviewing a fix for a wakeup
source leak in the btusb probe errors paths. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ALSA: hda/cs35l41: Fix firmware load work teardown
cs35l41_hda creates ALSA controls whose private data points at the
cs35l41_hda object. The firmware load control can also queue
fw_load_work.
Those controls are not removed on component unbind, and device remove
only cancels fw_load_work through cs35l41_remove_dsp(). That helper is
skipped when halo_initialized is false. With firmware_autostart
disabled, a firmware load can be requested before the DSP has been
initialized. If the component or device is removed before the queued
work runs, the worker can run after teardown and dereference driver
state that is no longer valid.
Track the created controls and remove them on unbind so no new control
callback can reach the driver data or queue more work. Then cancel
fw_load_work to drain any request that was already queued. Also cancel
the work unconditionally during device remove before runtime PM teardown. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ACPI: NFIT: core: Fix acpi_nfit_init() error cleanup
If acpi_nfit_init() fails after adding the acpi_desc object to the
acpi_descs list, that object is never removed from that list because
the acpi_nfit_shutdown() devm action is not added for the NFIT device
in that case. Next, the acpi_nfit_init() failure causes
acpi_nfit_probe() to fail, the acpi_desc object is freed, and a
dangling pointer is left behind in the acpi_descs. Any subsequent
ACPI Machine Check Exception will trigger nfit_handle_mce() which
iterates over acpi_descs and so a use-after-free will occur.
Moreover, if acpi_nfit_probe() returns 0 after installing a notify
handler for the NFIT device and without allocating the acpi_desc
object and setting the NFIT device's driver data pointer, the
acpi_desc object will be allocated by acpi_nfit_update_notify()
and acpi_nfit_init() will be called to initialize it. Regardless
of whether or not acpi_nfit_init() fails in that case, the
acpi_nfit_shutdown() devm action is not added for the NFIT device
and acpi_desc is never removed from the acpi_descs list. If the
acpi_desc object is freed subsequently on driver removal, any
subsequent ACPI MCE will lead to a use-after-free like in the
previous case.
To address the first issue mentioned above, make acpi_nfit_probe()
call acpi_nfit_shutdown() directly on acpi_nfit_init() failures and
to address the other one, add a remove callback to the driver and
make it call acpi_nfit_shutdown(). Also, since it is now possible to
pass NULL to acpi_nfit_shutdown() or the acpi_desc object passed to it
may not have been initialized, add checks against NULL for acpi_desc and
its nvdimm_bus field to that function and make acpi_nfit_unregister()
clear the latter after unregistering the NVDIMM bus. |
| sqlite 3.41 has a use-after-free vulnerability in the JSON parsing logic. Remote adversaries can craft malicious JSON payload to trigger memory free followed by illegal memory access, which may lead to arbitrary code execution, sensitive information leakage and service denial. |
| sqlite 3.41 is vulnerable to use after free in the JSON extraction function. After releasing JsonParse object memory via jsonParseFree(), the program still accesses internal member of the freed pointer, which can cause service crash and denial of service. |
| A use-after-free (UAF) vulnerability was discovered in the core parsing component of SQLite 3.41. The flaw occurs because the program frees an ExprList object via sqlite3ExprListDelete and then subsequently accesses the dangling pointer of the released object. A remote adversary can supply specially crafted SQL queries to trigger this vulnerability during SQL statement parsing. Successful exploitation may result in application crash (denial of service), sensitive memory information leakage, and in some scenarios, arbitrary code execution on the affected host. |
| SQLite 3.41 has a use-after-free vulnerability in jsonRemoveFunc of SQLite JSON module. The parsed JSON object is freed at line 3555, while line 3575 still calls jsonLookupStep with the released pointer. Remote attackers can exploit this flaw to crash the service and leak heap memory information. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipv6: exthdrs: refresh nh after handling HAO option
ip6_parse_tlv() caches skb_network_header(skb) in nh while walking
IPv6 TLVs.
ipv6_dest_hao() may call pskb_expand_head() for a cloned skb, which can
move the skb head and invalidate the cached network header pointer.
Refresh nh after ipv6_dest_hao() returns so any trailing padding or TLVs
are parsed from the current skb head.
This matches the existing pattern used in ip6_parse_tlv() after helpers
that can modify skb header storage. |
| SQLite 3.41 has a use-after-free vulnerability exists in the expression evaluation logic. The sqlite3ReleaseTempReg function improperly releases temporary register resources, and the subsequent exprComputeOperands function continues to access the already freed register memory. By supplying a malicious SQL statement, a remote attacker can exploit this flaw to cause denial of service, leak sensitive information, or potentially execute arbitrary code on the affected system. |
| A use-after-free vulnerability exists in the expression parsing and memory management logic of SQLite 3.41. After invoking sqlite3ExprDelete to release an expression object, the program still retains the dangling pointer and subsequently accesses member fields of the already freed memory. By constructing malicious SQL queries, a remote attacker can trigger invalid memory access, leading to application crash and sensitive memory information leakage. |
| Use after free in Ozone in Google Chrome on Linux prior to 150.0.7871.125 allowed a remote attacker who convinced a user to engage in specific UI gestures to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical) |

| NGINX Plus and NGINX Open Source have a vulnerability in the ngx_http_slice_module module. When the slice directive and unnamed regex captures are configured or when a background cache update happens, unauthenticated attackers can send requests that may cause uninitialized memory access in the NGINX worker process, leading to limited disclosure of memory or a restart.
Impact:
This vulnerability may allow remote, unauthenticated attackers to have limited control to disclose memory contents or restart the NGINX worker process. There is no control plane exposure; this is a data plane issue only.
Note: The ngx_http_slice_module module is not enabled by default; it's enabled with the --with-http_slice_module configuration parameter.
Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. |
| dhcpcd through 10.3.2, fixed in commit 78ea09e, contains a heap use-after-free vulnerability in the control socket handling within src/control.c that allows local unprivileged attackers to trigger memory corruption when privilege separation is disabled. Attackers can connect to the control socket and send a privileged command such as -x, causing control_recvdata() to free the client object while the same READ+HANGUP event subsequently reaches control_hangup() with the stale pointer, resulting in a use-after-free condition exploitable in deployments using --disable-privsep or where privsep initialization has failed with the control socket operating in mode 0666. |
| dhcpcd through 10.3.2, fixed in commit 5733d3c, contains a heap use-after-free vulnerability that allows unauthenticated same-link attackers to crash the daemon by sending a crafted DHCPv6 RENEW reply with RFC6603 OPTION_PD_EXCLUDE and both preferred and valid lifetimes set to zero. Attackers acting as or impersonating a DHCPv6 server can trigger dhcp6_deprecatedele() to free a delegated child address while an outer TAILQ_FOREACH_SAFE iterator in dhcp6_deprecateaddrs() still holds the freed pointer, causing a use-after-free when TAILQ_REMOVE is reached. |
| Cherry Studio versions 1.2.2 through 1.9.12, fixed in commit 1518530, contain a remote code execution vulnerability in SearchService that allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by delivering malicious JavaScript through controlled search provider content loaded into an Electron BrowserWindow configured with nodeIntegration enabled and contextIsolation disabled. Attackers who control a search engine provider, individual search result pages, or provider settings pages can execute JavaScript with full Node.js privileges, gaining access to fs, child_process, os, and process.env under the operating-system account of the Cherry Studio process. |
| Wazuh provisioning scripts and Dockerfiles contain an insecure transport vulnerability where curl is invoked with the -k/--insecure flag, disabling SSL/TLS certificate validation. Attackers with network access can perform man-in-the-middle attacks to intercept and modify downloaded dependencies or code during the build process, leading to remote code execution and supply chain compromise. |
| UCanCode E-XD++ Visualization Enterprise Suite contains an untrusted pointer dereference vulnerability via the TKDRAWCAD.TKDrawCADCtrl.1 ActiveX control. This is because it exposes a RotateShape method that dereferences a user-supplied pointer without sufficient validation. A crafted input may cause the control to dereference an attacker-controlled pointer, enabling remote code execution in the context of the hosting process. The vulnerability requires user interaction (instantiation of the ActiveX control via a web page or a file). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: fix amdgpu_hmm_range_get_pages
The notifier sequence must only be read once or otherwise we could work
with invalid pages.
While at it also fix the coding style, e.g. drop the pre-initialized
return value and use the common define for 2G range.
