CVSS v3.1 |
| In Progress ShareFile Storage Zones Controller versions prior to 5.12.5 and 6.0.2, an authenticated administrative user can exploit a path traversal vulnerability to read arbitrary files from the server filesystem, write files to arbitrary directories, or determine whether specific files exist on the server. |
| ClearanceKit intercepts file-system access events on macOS and enforces per-process access policies. The ECDSA private key used to sign the on-disk policy database (`/Library/Application Support/clearancekit/store.db`) is stored in the macOS System Keychain. The key was created via the two-step pattern `SecKeyCreateRandomKey` (in-memory) followed by `SecItemAdd(kSecValueRef:, kSecAttrAccess:)` (persist). Prior to version 5.0.10, for `kSecClassKey` items in the legacy System Keychain, `kSecAttrAccess` passed to `SecItemAdd` is silently ignored — the persisted key inherits no ACL restriction. The same access builder applied to `kSecClassGenericPassword` items correctly binds the ACL, making this bug specific to the EC key. The result is that any process running as root can use the key to produce valid signatures over arbitrary policy content. Version 5.0.10 fixes the issue. No known workarounds are available. Disabling the system extension and manually removing the System Keychain item labelled `clearancekit policy signing key` would prevent the forged-signature path but also disables policy enforcement. |
| Path traversal in the sshd-scp component of Apache MINA SSHD. Apache MINA SSHD is a Java library for client-side and server-side SSH.
The implementation of receiving files or directories via SCP did not validate filenames in SCP "C" or "D" commands. A malicious sender could send filenames containing paths, resulting in files to be written in attacker-controlled places.
The issue affects only
* applications that use no longer supported Apache MINA SSHD versions < 2.0.0 and use the SCP functions to receive files,
* or applications using sshd-scp in Apache MINA SSHD >= 2.0.0 to receive files.
Applications using Apache MINA SSHD >= 2.0.0 not using sshd-scp are not affected.
The issue is fixed in Apache MINA 2.19.0 and 3.0.0-M5. Affected applications are advised to upgrade to these versions. |
| Network-AI is a TypeScript/Node.js multi-agent orchestrator. Prior to version 5.12.2, `EnvironmentManager.listBackups()` reads each backup's `_manifest.json` and trusts the manifest's `path` field. `EnvironmentManager.pruneBackups()` later passes that trusted `entry.path` directly to `rmSync(entry.path, { recursive: true, force: true })`. An attacker who can place or modify a manifest inside `data/<env>/.backups/<name>/_manifest.json` can cause `network-ai env backup prune --env <env> --keep <n>` or any code path invoking `pruneBackups()` to recursively delete an arbitrary path accessible to the Network-AI process user. This is fixed in v5.12.2. `pruneBackups()` no longer passes `entry.path` from the on-disk manifest to `rmSync`. The deletion path is recomputed from a format-validated `entry.backupId`, and a `dirname` containment check confines deletion to exactly one level under the backups directory. A poisoned manifest (e.g. `"path": "/"`) is now inert. |
| CI4MS is a CodeIgniter 4-based content management system skeleton. Prior to version 0.31.9.0, the Fileeditor module enforces an extension allowlist (`['css','js','html','txt','json','sql','md']`) on content-write operations (`saveFile`, `createFile`), but two destructive endpoints — `deleteFileOrFolder` and `renameFile` — never validate the extension of the *source* path. A backend user with file-editor permissions can therefore unlink or rename any file inside the project root that is not explicitly listed in the small `$hiddenItems` blocklist. Critical framework files such as `app/Config/Routes.php`, `app/Config/App.php`, `app/Config/Database.php`, `app/Config/Filters.php`, `public/index.php`, and `public/.htaccess` all live outside that blocklist and can be destroyed, producing a persistent denial of service that requires filesystem-level redeployment to recover. Version 0.31.9.0 patches the issue. |
| Metabase is an open-source business intelligence and embedded analytics tool. From 1.54.0 until 1.54.24, 1.55.24, 1.56.25, 1.57.19, 1.58.14, 1.59.10, and 1.60.4, a Metabase user with permission to add or edit a database connection can achieve remote code execution on the Metabase server by configuring a Snowflake connection to an attacker-controlled server, because a flaw in the Snowflake JDBC driver can write arbitrary files anywhere on the Metabase host, including replacing one of Metabase's own database driver files that later executes inside the Metabase process. This issue is fixed in versions 1.54.24, 1.55.24, 1.56.25, 1.57.19, 1.58.14, 1.59.10, and 1.60.4. |
| Manyfold is an open source, self-hosted web application for managing a collection of 3d models, particularly focused on 3d printing. From 0.96.0 until 0.140.0, authenticated users can rename uploaded files with path traversal sequences because app/models/model_file.rb uses the user-controlled filename in File.join(model.path, filename) without sufficient sanitization, allowing files to be moved or written outside the configured library directory. This issue is fixed in version 0.140.0. |
| Docling Core defines core data types and transformations for the document processing application Docling. In versions 2.5.0 and above, prior to 2.74.1, docling-core could allow local file:// image references and accepted inline data: content without a decoded-size limit. In applications that accept untrusted image references, this may allow access to local files readable by the process or excessive memory use from large inline payloads. This issue has been fixed in version 2.74.1. |
| A flaw was found in the OpenShift Pipelines operator. The tekton-scheduler-rolebinding ClusterRoleBinding grants the system:authenticated group write access to Kueue and cert-manager custom resources via the tekton-scheduler-role ClusterRole. When Kueue or cert-manager CRDs are present on the cluster, any authenticated user can disrupt workload scheduling, tamper with scheduling priorities, delete other tenants' Workload objects, or induce cert-manager to overwrite TLS Secrets including the default ingress controller certificate. |
| Cilium is a networking, observability, and security solution. Prior to 1.17.14, 1.18.8, and 1.19.2, when Cilium L7 functionality is enabled, the embedded or standalone Envoy instance creates a world-accessible admin.sock on cluster nodes, allowing a local attacker to access Envoy admin endpoints, expose TLS secrets, disrupt cluster traffic, or terminate Envoy. This issue is fixed in versions 1.17.14, 1.18.8, and 1.19.2. |
| Node Version Manager (nvm) is a POSIX-compliant shell function for managing multiple node.js versions. In versions 0.32.1 through 0.40.5, `nvm ls-remote` (and other commands that refresh remote LTS aliases, such as `nvm install --lts`) parse the node.js mirror's `index.tab` and use each release's LTS codename field as an alias filename without validating it. A malicious, compromised, or man-in-the-middled mirror can return an LTS codename containing path-traversal sequences such as `../../../.bashrc`, causing nvm to write the associated version string to a path outside `$NVM_DIR/alias`. With the default layout (`$NVM_DIR` is `~/.nvm`), this can create or overwrite files in the user's home directory, including shell startup files, which can lead to code execution in a later shell session. Exploitation requires the victim to use a hostile mirror -- via a compromised mirror or CDN, a network man-in-the-middle, or a maliciously configured `NVM_NODEJS_ORG_MIRROR`/`NVM_IOJS_ORG_MIRROR` -- and to run an affected command. Version 0.40.6 validates remote LTS codenames as safe alias filenames and rejects `..` path components when writing alias files. |
| The FunnelKit WordPress plugin before 3.15.0.6 does not validate a user-supplied path before deleting a file during a template-import operation, allowing users with administrator privileges to delete arbitrary .json files outside the intended directory through path traversal, which can disable other FunnelKit WordPress plugin before 3.15.0.6 or (denial of service). |
| A flaw was found in samba's pam_winbind. When mkhomedir is enabled, pam_winbind chowns the target account's home directory without validating the path is not a critical system directory such as /. On affected systems, accounts with / as their home directory (a common default for system accounts) can have this triggered not only by root, but by a non-root user holding a narrow sudo delegation to run commands as that account, causing ownership of / to change and resulting in severe denial of service (SSH, sudo, and package-manager failures). The change does not grant write access to / (which ships with restrictive 0555 permissions on RHEL), so the impact is availability loss rather than further privilege escalation. |
| External control of file name or path in Windows Ancillary Function Driver for WinSock allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| External control of file name or path in SQL Server allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Hermes WebUI before 0.51.521 validates the workspace of an imported session under the active named profile but constructs the Session object without setting its profile in the /api/session/import handler, so the imported session is persisted with a null profile. Because a null profile is treated as the default profile by the profile authorization check, a user on the default profile can export the imported session transcript and use its session identifier to read files from the named profile's workspace, defeating the application's profile isolation. |
| External control of file name or path in Microsoft Office SharePoint allows an authorized attacker to perform spoofing over a network. |
| OpenClaw versions 2026.5.20 before 2026.6.6 contain an authorization bypass vulnerability in the MCP loopback feature that allows lower-trust callers to execute owner-only tools. Attackers can bypass authorization checks through configured input paths to execute or persist actions beyond their intended permissions. |
| OpenClaw versions 2026.5.20 before 2026.6.9 contain a privilege escalation vulnerability in plugin install commands that allows lower-trust callers to execute or persist actions beyond their intended authorization. Attackers can exploit misconfigured input paths or enabled features to escalate privileges and perform unauthorized actions when the feature is reachable. |
| OpenPLC Runtime v3 contains an authenticated arbitrary file write
vulnerability in the legacy web UI program‑upload workflow. The
application stores an attacker‑supplied filename (prog_file) directly
into the Programs.File database field and later uses this value as the
destination path for an uploaded file without validating or restricting
the path. Because Python os.path.join() honors attacker‑controlled
absolute paths, an authenticated user can write arbitrary files anywhere
writable by the OpenPLC webserver process. In the default build
pipeline, all C++ source files within the OpenPLC runtime core directory
are automatically compiled into the executable runtime binary. By
writing a malicious .cpp file into this directory, an authenticated
attacker can escalate the arbitrary file write into arbitrary native
code execution when the operator triggers a normal program compilation
and runtime start. |
