CVE-2025-38395 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 8.4 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: regulator: gpio: Fix the out-of-bounds access to drvdata::gpiods drvdata::gpiods is supposed to hold an array of 'gpio_desc' pointers. But the memory is allocated for only one pointer. This will lead to out-of-bounds access later in the code if 'config::ngpios' is > 1. So fix the code to allocate enough memory to hold 'config::ngpios' of GPIO descriptors. While at it, also move the check for memory allocation failure to be below the allocation to make it more readable.
CVE-2025-38375 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 8.4 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio-net: ensure the received length does not exceed allocated size In xdp_linearize_page, when reading the following buffers from the ring, we forget to check the received length with the true allocate size. This can lead to an out-of-bound read. This commit adds that missing check.
CVE-2025-38342 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: software node: Correct a OOB check in software_node_get_reference_args() software_node_get_reference_args() wants to get @index-th element, so the property value requires at least '(index + 1) * sizeof(*ref)' bytes but that can not be guaranteed by current OOB check, and may cause OOB for malformed property. Fix by using as OOB check '((index + 1) * sizeof(*ref) > prop->length)'.
CVE-2025-38292 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath12k: fix invalid access to memory In ath12k_dp_rx_msdu_coalesce(), rxcb is fetched from skb and boolean is_continuation is part of rxcb. Currently, after freeing the skb, the rxcb->is_continuation accessed again which is wrong since the memory is already freed. This might lead use-after-free error. Hence, fix by locally defining bool is_continuation from rxcb, so that after freeing skb, is_continuation can be used. Compile tested only.
CVE-2025-38224 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: kvaser_pciefd: refine error prone echo_skb_max handling logic echo_skb_max should define the supported upper limit of echo_skb[] allocated inside the netdevice's priv. The corresponding size value provided by this driver to alloc_candev() is KVASER_PCIEFD_CAN_TX_MAX_COUNT which is 17. But later echo_skb_max is rounded up to the nearest power of two (for the max case, that would be 32) and the tx/ack indices calculated further during tx/rx may exceed the upper array boundary. Kasan reported this for the ack case inside kvaser_pciefd_handle_ack_packet(), though the xmit function has actually caught the same thing earlier. BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in kvaser_pciefd_handle_ack_packet+0x2d7/0x92a drivers/net/can/kvaser_pciefd.c:1528 Read of size 8 at addr ffff888105e4f078 by task swapper/4/0 CPU: 4 UID: 0 PID: 0 Comm: swapper/4 Not tainted 6.15.0 #12 PREEMPT(voluntary) Call Trace: <IRQ> dump_stack_lvl lib/dump_stack.c:122 print_report mm/kasan/report.c:521 kasan_report mm/kasan/report.c:634 kvaser_pciefd_handle_ack_packet drivers/net/can/kvaser_pciefd.c:1528 kvaser_pciefd_read_packet drivers/net/can/kvaser_pciefd.c:1605 kvaser_pciefd_read_buffer drivers/net/can/kvaser_pciefd.c:1656 kvaser_pciefd_receive_irq drivers/net/can/kvaser_pciefd.c:1684 kvaser_pciefd_irq_handler drivers/net/can/kvaser_pciefd.c:1733 __handle_irq_event_percpu kernel/irq/handle.c:158 handle_irq_event kernel/irq/handle.c:210 handle_edge_irq kernel/irq/chip.c:833 __common_interrupt arch/x86/kernel/irq.c:296 common_interrupt arch/x86/kernel/irq.c:286 </IRQ> Tx max count definitely matters for kvaser_pciefd_tx_avail(), but for seq numbers' generation that's not the case - we're free to calculate them as would be more convenient, not taking tx max count into account. The only downside is that the size of echo_skb[] should correspond to the max seq number (not tx max count), so in some situations a bit more memory would be consumed than could be. Thus make the size of the underlying echo_skb[] sufficient for the rounded max tx value. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Syzkaller.
CVE-2025-38204 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: fix array-index-out-of-bounds read in add_missing_indices stbl is s8 but it must contain offsets into slot which can go from 0 to 127. Added a bound check for that error and return -EIO if the check fails. Also make jfs_readdir return with error if add_missing_indices returns with an error.
CVE-2025-38139 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix oops in write-retry from mis-resetting the subreq iterator Fix the resetting of the subrequest iterator in netfs_retry_write_stream() to use the iterator-reset function as the iterator may have been shortened by a previous retry. In such a case, the amount of data to be written by the subrequest is not "subreq->len" but "subreq->len - subreq->transferred". CVE-2025-38111 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mdiobus: Fix potential out-of-bounds read/write access When using publicly available tools like 'mdio-tools' to read/write data from/to network interface and its PHY via mdiobus, there is no verification of parameters passed to the ioctl and it accepts any mdio address. Currently there is support for 32 addresses in kernel via PHY_MAX_ADDR define, but it is possible to pass higher value than that via ioctl. While read/write operation should generally fail in this case, mdiobus provides stats array, where wrong address may allow out-of-bounds read/write. Fix that by adding address verification before read/write operation. While this excludes this access from any statistics, it improves security of read/write operation.
CVE-2025-38110 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mdiobus: Fix potential out-of-bounds clause 45 read/write access When using publicly available tools like 'mdio-tools' to read/write data from/to network interface and its PHY via C45 (clause 45) mdiobus, there is no verification of parameters passed to the ioctl and it accepts any mdio address. Currently there is support for 32 addresses in kernel via PHY_MAX_ADDR define, but it is possible to pass higher value than that via ioctl. While read/write operation should generally fail in this case, mdiobus provides stats array, where wrong address may allow out-of-bounds read/write. Fix that by adding address verification before C45 read/write operation. While this excludes this access from any statistics, it improves security of read/write operation.
CVE-2025-38004 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.3 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: bcm: add locking for bcm_op runtime updates The CAN broadcast manager (CAN BCM) can send a sequence of CAN frames via hrtimer. The content and also the length of the sequence can be changed resp reduced at runtime where the 'currframe' counter is then set to zero. Although this appeared to be a safe operation the updates of 'currframe' can be triggered from user space and hrtimer context in bcm_can_tx(). Anderson Nascimento created a proof of concept that triggered a KASAN slab-out-of-bounds read access which can be prevented with a spin_lock_bh. At the rework of bcm_can_tx() the 'count' variable has been moved into the protected section as this variable can be modified from both contexts too.
CVE-2025-37973 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 8.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: fix out-of-bounds access during multi-link element defragmentation Currently during the multi-link element defragmentation process, the multi-link element length added to the total IEs length when calculating the length of remaining IEs after the multi-link element in cfg80211_defrag_mle(). This could lead to out-of-bounds access if the multi-link element or its corresponding fragment elements are the last elements in the IEs buffer. To address this issue, correctly calculate the remaining IEs length by deducting the multi-link element end offset from total IEs end offset.
CVE-2025-37911 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt_en: Fix out-of-bound memcpy() during ethtool -w When retrieving the FW coredump using ethtool, it can sometimes cause memory corruption: BUG: KFENCE: memory corruption in __bnxt_get_coredump+0x3ef/0x670 [bnxt_en] Corrupted memory at 0x000000008f0f30e8 [ ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ] (in kfence-#45): __bnxt_get_coredump+0x3ef/0x670 [bnxt_en] ethtool_get_dump_data+0xdc/0x1a0 __dev_ethtool+0xa1e/0x1af0 dev_ethtool+0xa8/0x170 dev_ioctl+0x1b5/0x580 sock_do_ioctl+0xab/0xf0 sock_ioctl+0x1ce/0x2e0 __x64_sys_ioctl+0x87/0xc0 do_syscall_64+0x5c/0xf0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x78/0x80 ... This happens when copying the coredump segment list in bnxt_hwrm_dbg_dma_data() with the HWRM_DBG_COREDUMP_LIST FW command. The info->dest_buf buffer is allocated based on the number of coredump segments returned by the FW. The segment list is then DMA'ed by the FW and the length of the DMA is returned by FW. The driver then copies this DMA'ed segment list to info->dest_buf. In some cases, this DMA length may exceed the info->dest_buf length and cause the above BUG condition. Fix it by capping the copy length to not exceed the length of info->dest_buf. The extra DMA data contains no useful information. This code path is shared for the HWRM_DBG_COREDUMP_LIST and the HWRM_DBG_COREDUMP_RETRIEVE FW commands. The buffering is different for these 2 FW commands. To simplify the logic, we need to move the line to adjust the buffer length for HWRM_DBG_COREDUMP_RETRIEVE up, so that the new check to cap the copy length will work for both commands.
CVE-2025-37879 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: 9p/net: fix improper handling of bogus negative read/write replies In p9_client_write() and p9_client_read_once(), if the server incorrectly replies with success but a negative write/read count then we would consider written (negative) <= rsize (positive) because both variables were signed. Make variables unsigned to avoid this problem. The reproducer linked below now fails with the following error instead of a null pointer deref: 9pnet: bogus RWRITE count (4294967295 > 3)
CVE-2025-37749 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 4 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2026-07-30 8.2 High

CVE-2025-23157 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: venus: hfi_parser: add check to avoid out of bound access There is a possibility that init_codecs is invoked multiple times during manipulated payload from video firmware. In such case, if codecs_count can get incremented to value more than MAX_CODEC_NUM, there can be OOB access. Reset the count so that it always starts from beginning.
CVE-2025-23156 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: venus: hfi_parser: refactor hfi packet parsing logic words_count denotes the number of words in total payload, while data points to payload of various property within it. When words_count reaches last word, data can access memory beyond the total payload. This can lead to OOB access. With this patch, the utility api for handling individual properties now returns the size of data consumed. Accordingly remaining bytes are calculated before parsing the payload, thereby eliminates the OOB access possibilities.
CVE-2025-23133 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: update channel list in reg notifier instead reg worker Currently when ath11k gets a new channel list, it will be processed according to the following steps: 1. update new channel list to cfg80211 and queue reg_work. 2. cfg80211 handles new channel list during reg_work. 3. update cfg80211's handled channel list to firmware by ath11k_reg_update_chan_list(). But ath11k will immediately execute step 3 after reg_work is just queued. Since step 2 is asynchronous, cfg80211 may not have completed handling the new channel list, which may leading to an out-of-bounds write error: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in ath11k_reg_update_chan_list Call Trace: ath11k_reg_update_chan_list+0xbfe/0xfe0 [ath11k] kfree+0x109/0x3a0 ath11k_regd_update+0x1cf/0x350 [ath11k] ath11k_regd_update_work+0x14/0x20 [ath11k] process_one_work+0xe35/0x14c0 Should ensure step 2 is completely done before executing step 3. Thus Wen raised patch[1]. When flag NL80211_REGDOM_SET_BY_DRIVER is set, cfg80211 will notify ath11k after step 2 is done. So enable the flag NL80211_REGDOM_SET_BY_DRIVER then cfg80211 will notify ath11k after step 2 is done. At this time, there will be no KASAN bug during the execution of the step 3.
